O. Fournier

At the turn of the millennium, the Spanish family Ortega Gil-Fournier founded a small “boutique” winery, at the foot of the Andes, in La Consulta, in the Argentinean province of Mendoza.

Their main objective is to become an international group focused on high quality wines. To date, the Group owns estates in Mendoza and Ribera de Duero. In total the Group owns over 400 Has. of land of which 160 Has. are planted with vineyards of up to 57 years of age.

O. Fournier’s mission is to become one of the most outstanding high-quality groups of wineries. It aims to achieve this goal using the competitive advantages the vineyards and the weather offer as well as the enabling technology and the relevant local and international winemaking knowledge.

Urban Uco Malbec 2009

Tasting Notes: Clean fruit driven wine showing black and red fruit with hints of dark chocolate and subtle vanilla notes. Fine tannins and good acidity make for a well balanced wine with a long lingering finish. A great food wine which would stand up to red meat well.
Blend: 100% Malbec
Alcohol level: 14.5%
